Dean Harte – Managing Director

Co founder of Redrock, Dean has worked in IT recruitment since 1991. Prior to Redrock, he was Managing Director of Sapphire Technologies Australasia where he also held an executive board position with the industry body, ITCRA. Prior to this position, Dean co founded MVM Recruitment and was part of the Management team that negotiated the successful sale of the business to the Randstad Group (formely Vedior). In the last 10 years Dean has built robust businesses with day to day responsibility for the overall financial and operational performance of the company. Outside of work, Dean enjoys spending time with his family and flying his Cessna 172R and is a keen follower of Football, boxing and jet pack technology.

Phred Steer – Director

Phred is a founder of Redrock Consulting and has been working in recruitment since 1990. He began his recruitment career as a Permanent Consultant placing Sales and Marketing staff. In 1996 he moved into IT Recruitment, where he achieved great success as a Senior Consultant specialising in the provision of contract IT staff.
Phred is an extremely dedicated Recruiter with proven success in delivering genuine efficiencies whilst maintaining service and has recently completed a MIRP through the REC. Outside work he enjoys spending time with his young family and is a champion banger racer. He also enjoys football and likes to ride his Ducati 996.

Gary Drever - Director

A Graduate from the University of Stirling, Gary had a background in Unix Solution Sales and Pre and Post Sales roles before entering IT recruitment in the early nineties. Gary joined Dean Harte at the early stages of the development of MVM Recruitment. After an initial period in the contract arena at MVM Gary helped establish the permanent recruitment team from scratch and after a period as Director at MVM became Managing Director from January 2004 until October 2006. He joined Redrock at the start of 2007 working primarily in the permanent recruitment side of the business. When not working Gary loves to shop and tries to get to the gym every day.

Ben Curnock – Director

A co-founder of Redrock Consulting, Ben has many years experience within the industry.
During his career he has been instrumental in developing new business opportunities and service lead initiatives. Whilst having responsibility for Redrock’s largest client Ben has recently developed a successful Testing Services division and  launched Redrock Central, Redrock’s unique resource portal.  When not at work Ben enjoys spending time with his young family and is an experienced High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) night sky diver. He also enjoys boating and mountain biking.

Brendan Johnston - Director

Brendan Johnston started his career in recruitment over 15 years ago working within business development and delivery for Hays in the Greater London area. Since moving to the South West in 1997, he has worked exclusively within the IT sector for both MVM and more recently Redrock Consulting where he became a Director in 2006. Brendan continues to work with clients throughout the South West while managing and developing a team of permanent consultants. In his spare time, Brendan enjoys following football and rugby and visiting National Trust sites throughout the UK. More recently he has also developed a passion for mountain climbing having made a successful six day ascent of Mt Kilimanjaro.

Jimmy Lloyd - Director

Jimmy has been working in the recruitment industry since 1999. Having worked originally as a Recruitment Agent for SThree Jimmy co founded Redrock in 2005, working as the company’s first permanent Recruiter. Today Jimmy is responsible for indentifying new talent and training initiatives helping to support Redrock’s continued growth. Outside of the office Jimmy enjoys travelling, watching sports and spending time with his family.  

Darren Chapman - Director

Darren has spent over 13 years within the IT recruitment sector and has specialized during this time in the supply of time and material contractors. He has a broad knowledge of this market and the technologies within it. Consequently Darren is highly regarded by his clients and colleagues alike. He became a Director in July 2005 when he cofounded Redrock Consulting. He now runs one of the contract services teams within Redrock whilst still remaining hands on. In addition to this, he is responsible for the IT and Voice infrastructure within Redrock. Outside of work Darren enjoys restoring Minimoog synthesizers his beloved E type Jaguar and eating out,
